40 Days of Personal Change, Day 25
Elul 25, 5780 / September 14, 2020

This year has been a once in a life time experience. Because of the COVID-19 virus which has covered the world, life has changed and many things about that change could be permanent. We certainly will not live or do things as we used to.  Because of this virus, the people of earth have two choices. We can either panic or we can trust our creator. I received a link to a video where a man spoke doom and gloom. He spoke for about 10 minutes and offered no hope.  It was really pathetic!

I thought about his little message and asked the Father to show me what was happening today and I asked for understanding. The Father reminded me of the time when Yeshua told his disciples to get into the boat and they would go to the other side.  He didn’t ask them to go fishing or waterskiing or to have a party on the lake. The offer was simply to go to the other side. Well, in the middle of the lake a big storm came up and it actually frightened these men. Yeshua was asleep in the bowels of the boat and kept sleeping until the disciples woke him. After calming the waters, He asked his disciples where their faith was? He said they were going to the other side of the lake and He meant it.

We cannot make this world our home. We are on a journey to the other side. Just because the year 2020 caused a big storm for our boat, we shouldn’t be frightened nor should it cause us to put our focus on the storm. Our faith and our  focus should be on Yeshua and our promise from Him to get to the other side.

Philippians 4:6-7 –

“Do not worry about anything but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving in your heart, let your requests be made to Yahweh. And HIS Shalom, which surpasses all human understanding, will guard your hearts and will guard your minds in Messiah Yeshua!”
