Scripture: “I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.” – Deuteronomy 30:19 “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” – Luke 9:23
One of the most empowering and sobering truths in Scripture is that we have a choice. God presents us with the path of life and the path of death—and then pleads with us to choose life.
Teshuvah is not automatic. It is a decision. A daily turning of the heart. A conscious saying “yes” to God and “no” to everything that draws us away. It is an act of the will empowered by grace.
Yeshua called His disciples to follow Him daily—not once, not occasionally, but consistently. This means each day in the season of repentance is another opportunity to choose rightly. Not by our strength, but by our surrender.
Choosing life looks like forgiveness instead of bitterness. It looks like obedience over convenience. It looks like faith over fear.
Reflection: – What daily choices are shaping your life right now? – Where do you need to choose life today?
Prayer: Lord, I choose You. I choose life. Strengthen my will to follow You. Help me lay aside the things that lead to death. I want to walk in blessing, not only for myself but for those who come after me. Amen.
