Scripture: “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” – Psalm 51:12 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” – John 15:11
Repentance is often associated with sorrow, but the fruit of true Teshuvah is joy. David, after his repentance, prayed not just for forgiveness—but for joy to be restored.
Joy comes when the burden of guilt is lifted. When relationship is restored. When we stop running and let grace catch us. The joy of salvation is not shallow happiness; it’s a deep, unshakable peace rooted in God’s love.
Yeshua said His words were meant to bring us fullness of joy. That joy is not found in comfort or success but in abiding in Him. Teshuvah draws us back into that abiding.
If your repentance has felt heavy, ask God for joy. Let Him remind you that His correction is a sign of His love. Let joy be your strength as you walk in newness.
Reflection: – Have you lost the joy of your salvation? – What does it look like to walk in joy today?
Prayer: God of salvation, thank You for restoring me. Let joy rise in my heart again. Let it be rooted not in my circumstances, but in You. Sustain me with Your Spirit, and make my heart glad. Amen.
