What is in our own hearts? And what are we tolerating in our midst?
“It is actually reported [that there is] sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles – that a man has his father’s wife! And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.” (1 Corinthians 5:1-2, NKJV)
The world wants us to be proud of tolerating sinful behavior. To them a call to repentance is backward and prudish. We are called to account for our own behavior AND we are called to keep each other accountable for each other’s behavior.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; renew in me a resolute spirit.” (Psalm 51:10, CJB)
