Messiah Meetings reconvened December 6-7, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. For the first time since February 2023, this assembly of teachers and pastors gathered at Hebraic Family Fellowship Dallas-Fort Worth (HFF-DFW). Pastors Brad and Erica Brons of HFF-DFW created a warm and welcoming environment for the teachers and guests who had assembled from Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia, South Carolina, and Florida.
The miracles of Yeshua (Jesus) provided the inspiration for the gathering, with each presenter delivering a short message on a different miracle. BYNA Elder David Jones chose the miracle of Yeshua healing the servant whose ear Peter cut off. Executive Director Al McCarn emphasized the authority of Yeshua in his teaching on the Centurion’s Servant. Deputy Executive Director David Altman opted not to speak about a particular miracle of Yeshua, but about the greater works that He said His disciples (meaning all of us) would do.
The opening and closing presentations emphasized the importance of Messiah Meetings to the building of relationships among Hebraic leaders and their congregations. Pastor Brian Serrano of Menorah Bible Fellowship in Bullard, TX, opened the gathering on Friday evening, and Pastor Chris Franke of HFF Oklahoma City closed it out as Shabbat was ending. Both of those brothers had leadership obligations elsewhere, but they drove many hours just to be at Messiah Meetings to deliver their messages and take part in fellowship before driving back. Their messages on the healing of the woman with the issue of blood and of Simon’s mother-in-law were highlights of the gathering that set the tone for the weekend.
This gathering included three speakers new to Messiah Meetings. Other presenters included Nick Spring and Adam Clark of HFF-DFW, teaching respectively about the resurrection of Lazarus (John 11) and the healing of the woman on the Sabbath (Luke 13:10-17). Jonathan Brown of TorahApologetics.com shared his thoughts on the resurrection of the widow’s son a Nain (Luke 7:11-17). Nick also joined Brad and Erica in a panel discussion on the topic of Manifesting Messiah in which they shared their thoughts and experiences on what it means to imitate Messiah Yeshua in our communities.
The Messiah Meetings gathering in Dallas continued in the spirit of previous gatherings. The inspiring teachings and moving times of worship were only the visible results of the weekend. The power of Messiah Meetings is in its creation of a space where pastors, worship leaders, teachers, and congregation members can establish and strengthen relationships through fellowship, prayer, and breaking of bread together. That is the strength of Messiah Meetings, and the reason we look forward to the next gathering (hopefully later in 2025).
