Hebrew Classes: Fall 2026

We are excited to make available Hebrew classes taught by Elder Michail Bantseev. This year we are also offering conversational Hebrew. Below is more information on each class and how to register. Please note, registration closes Friday, October 2nd, 2026, and there is an additional 10% discount for registering by Monday, September 14th.

All classes meet weekly over Zoom for 16 weeks and are recorded for later review. Cost is $200 USD ($280 Canadian) per household plus the textbook; BYNA affiliates and affiliate congregations receive 20% off ($160 USD / $224 Canadian).

Conversational Hebrew: Level 1

New this year. Thursdays 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Eastern, October 8, 2026 to January 28, 2027. Taught by Gerardo Rodriguez. For anyone who can read the alef bet and wants to speak modern Hebrew.

Beginner Hebrew: Level 1

Thursdays 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Eastern, October 8, 2026 to January 28, 2027. No prior Hebrew needed. The alef bet and first vocabulary in its cultural context.

Beginner Hebrew: Level 2

Tuesdays 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. Eastern, October 6, 2026 to January 26, 2027. Prerequisite: Level 1. Reading and writing, new vocabulary, the ancient pictograph meanings of the letters.

Tuesdays 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Eastern, October 6, 2026 to January 26, 2027. Prerequisite: Level 2. Review, cursive handwriting, word studies.
