Scripture: “I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham I will remember.” – Leviticus 26:42 “But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.” – Revelation 2:4

Teshuvah calls us not only to repentance, but to remembrance. The journey back to God includes a return to the covenant—the sacred bond between God and His people. In Scripture, God continually reminds Israel of His covenant faithfulness. Even in their unfaithfulness, He promises, “I will remember.”

To remember the covenant is to reorient ourselves toward God’s original intentions for our lives. For Messianic believers, this means returning to the foundational relationship we have through Yeshua, the Mediator of the New Covenant, who calls us back to our first love.

In Revelation, Yeshua rebukes the believers in Ephesus for forsaking their first love. It’s a sobering reminder that zeal can fade, devotion can wane, and familiarity can replace awe. Teshuvah is the antidote. It reignites the flame.

Use this time to reflect on the roots of your faith. What first drew you to God? What stirred your heart to follow Yeshua? Reconnect with that passion. Ask God to renew your love and commitment.

Reflection: – In what ways have you drifted from your first love? – How can you honor God’s covenant in your daily life?

Prayer: Faithful God, You remember Your covenant. Help me to remember too. Restore my heart to its first love. Rekindle my passion for You and Your ways. In Yeshua’s name, amen.
