We know the invitation is coming for the most important event in the year. We have much anticipation and excitement is growing. Preparations have been going on for some 20 or more days. We have been examining our daily thoughts, our daily activities, and our social media usage. Soon the time to go will arrive.
How will I dress? What will be the appropriate attire for the travel? Am I ready for the coming days?
I am remembering a song of a scripture verse: Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord and who shall stand in His Holy Place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. Ps 24:3-4
Oh Lord, cleanse my heart and make me pure. You have not led me into temptation.
Show me the places in my inner man where I have lifted my soul to what is false in thought and deed. Purify my heart that I may come to your Hill. Soon and in our day may your Salvation come to your people, and we will see the restoration you have spoken of in your word.
