On our wish list is a beautiful 3 D landscape hourglass. We enjoy watching the flowing sand form fascinating designs within the frame.
At first watching the falling sand is mesmerizing then after a few moments an uncomfortable awareness of time passing takes over.
Our hope is that this continual flowing, ever changing artwork will serve our family as a visual reminder that time moves quickly and waits for no one.
We desire to be intentional about using the gift of time given to us productively and wisely. When our life’s landscape is completed, we hope to be found worthy to hear the words – “well done good and faithful servant.”
From the moment we greet the day until we retire for the night we have a choice as to how we use the gift of time we have been given.
Wisely placed time is beautiful.
Abba, thank you for the gift of time. Forgive us when we did not use our time wisely or pleasing to you. When our life’s last grain of sand falls into place, may the life-scape created stand as a witness of your love that was always at work in us.
May the time yet to fall into place before the return of our Messiah be saturated with our praises to you.
