Bob O’Dell: The Echoes Bible, part 5

When we want to know the connection between the Levitical priesthood and the redemptive work of Messiah Yeshua, we might go to the book of Hebrews. Bob O’Dell, however, would suggest looking at the primary source, which is the book of Leviticus. Bob draws the connection between the commandments about priestly households in Leviticus, and Paul’s essay on God’s restored household in Romans. That’s one of many topics we cover in this final segment of our conversation about The Echoes Bible!

Here’s a hint: the connection Bob make concerns who can eat the holy things offered on the altar. Yeshua said something about that in regard to himself. That’s the topic of the midrash by Barry Phillips and David Jones, “Eat My Flesh, Drink My Blood.” Yeshua made a figurative statement, of course, but with deep practical meaning. We hear about what he meant in the music of Ray Myers and the Exodus Road Band

There are currently three volumes of The Echoes Bible in print: Leviticus & Romans, Numbers & 1 Corinthians, and Deuteronomy & 2 Corinthians. More are on the way! To learn more and to purchase The Echoes Bible volumes, visit https://www.echoesbible.com/.
