Are you ready to let the Potter have his way? Repentance means literally to turn around; to face away from the things you have chosen to revere and face toward Almighty God. The word of the LORD came to the prophet Yesha’yahu (Isaiah):
“…these people have removed their hearts far from me,…woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the LORD,…Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; for shall the thing made say of him who made it, ‘He did not make me’? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it, ‘He has no understanding’?”
(Isaiah 29:13-16, NJKV)
He says we “have things turned around.” Therefore, we must turn ourselves around, face Him, draw near to Him, and bring our hearts to Him for cleansing.
