Scripture: “He has shown you, O man, what is good… to walk humbly with your God.” – Micah 6:8 “For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” – Luke 14:11
Humility is the soil where Teshuvah takes root. Without it, we remain defensive, blind to our faults, and unwilling to change. But when we approach God with a contrite heart, He draws near to us.
In the Jewish world, humility is a virtue admired in the likes of Moses, who is called “very humble, more than all men” (Numbers 12:3). In the Messianic world, Yeshua models perfect humility—leaving glory to serve and to save.
Pride hardens the heart. Humility softens it. During these days, let’s practice humility not just in confession, but in relationships, in prayer, and in our self-perception.
Reflection: – Are there ways pride is hindering your Teshuvah? – What would humility look like in your life today?
Prayer: Lord, I lay down my pride. I want to walk humbly with You. Teach me the humility of Messiah, who served and sacrificed. Make my heart tender and teachable. Amen.
