Psalms 47:1 says, “Oh clap your hands, all you peoples! SHOUT to Elohim with a voice of singing!
The word translated, “Clap” is taqa meaning “to strike, give a blast, blow, drive.” It also refers to driving a tent peg into the ground, to pitch a tent. All these things relate then to the idea of Victory! Let me explain.
When one sings, blows a shofar, waves a banner or flag, claps their hands or shouts, they stir the air, moving the air, displacing air, creating what pierces the air. The prince of the power of the air then should take notice when these things are done to announce the greatness of our Elohim and declare His Sovereignty over the Earth!
To drive a tent peg is to pitch a tent, declare your place, claim your spot. Yah, help me, HERE I stand! We stand in His Covenant, on His Promises, with His Truth, and we refuse to move back or retreat. Rather, we shout, clap, sing, and announce His GREATNESS! I encourage you to read all nine verses of Psalm 47, take your stand, announce to the air Who Yah is, and claim His victory!
