Scripture: “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.” – Revelation 19:7
“I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion.” – Hosea 2:19
The Days of Awe are not only about repentance but also about preparation. Jewish liturgy likens this season to preparing for a divine wedding. Messianic believers see this fulfilled in Yeshua, the Bridegroom who will return for His spotless Bride.
Holiness is not about legalism but readiness. Just as a bride prepares herself with joy and anticipation, so we purify ourselves in expectation of the great wedding feast of the Lamb.
Reflection: – In what ways are you preparing as part of Messiah’s Bride? – What distractions keep you from readiness?
Prayer: Bridegroom Messiah, make me ready. Clothe me in holiness and joy as I await Your return. Let my life be a reflection of Your covenant love. Amen.
