Day 36 – Breaking Chains – Freedom in Messiah

Scripture: “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke?” – Isaiah 58:6
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” – John 8:36

Repentance is not merely about sorrow but about freedom. Isaiah declares that true fasting and repentance involve breaking chains and setting people free. Yeshua fulfills this by offering deliverance from sin and every bondage.

Jewish tradition calls us to acts of justice during Teshuvah, aligning with Isaiah’s vision. Messianic believers affirm that Yeshua is the ultimate liberator. In Him, cycles of sin are broken, addictions lose power, and hope is restored.

Reflection: – What chains do you need God to break in your life? – How can you help bring freedom to others during this season?

Prayer: Messiah, break every chain in me. Loose me from sin, fear, and shame. Empower me to be a vessel of freedom and justice in Your name. Amen.
