Psalms 36
This Psalm tells me of the Father’s love and faithfulness to me. It says that we find refuge in the shadow of His wings. Verse 9 begins, “They drink their fill from the abundance of Your House. You give them drink from the river of your delights, FOR WITH YOU IS THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE.”
As I began to think about a fountain, I saw many attributes. Fountains are usually pretty to look at. I can’t wait to look on His face! I pray that others see Him in my face. Fountains provide nourishment and life in the water that flows. We realize that the water doesn’t get stagnant, it is always flowing. I pray the Holy Spirit will flow through me allowing me to provide nourishment and life to others! The water from a fountain keeps the soil from drying out. As that soil that receives the water from His fountain, we are kept moist and alive… not all dried up. We can receive times of refreshing from a fountain as it seems to offer quiet and peace. The Father’s shalom is all over His fountain. I want to drink of His water. I want to rest in His presence. I want to be fresh to serve Him and to offer others His Shalom.
Let us not forget: to us He is a Fountain of LIFE!
