Is anyone beyond redemption and healing? Laura Lee would tell you no, but it’s a long, hard journey. She has travelled that road, first suffering through an abusive childhood, and then dealing with the manifestations of that abuse in the form of addictions and dysfunctional relationships. That’s why she calls herself the Modern Day Samaritan Woman, and why she has a calling to help others attain the freedom and restoration that she has received. In this three-part interview, Laura Lee tells us her story, and then shares her vision for a conference for pastors and leaders to get the help they often don’t get because they are so involved in helping others.

Laura Lee has much to say about trauma and the deception (often self-deception) that goes along with it. Barry and David have something to say about that as well in this two-part midrash called, “Be Not Deceived.” The more we focus on our Redeemer, the less susceptible we are to deception. That’s the message we hear in the music of Debra Pagel and Miriam Houtz.
