Samuel Wearp has worked his entire life to connect the two parts of God’s covenant family. That’s not a long time in years, but an impressive accomplishment nonetheless! The Wearp family is embarked on a calling to connect with and support the Jewish people and the state of Israel. That’s the purpose of their family business and ministry, Blessed Buy Israel, and of their involvement with the Nations’ 9th of Av. Samuel is living out his passion to see Christians and Jews come together in peace and mutual respect based on their shared allegiance to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and their faithful expectation of His restoration of all Israel and redemption of all nations in the Messianic Kingdom. In this first segment of a three-part interview, Samuel talks about the most recent Nations 9th of Av observance of the Fast of the 5th Month (the ninth of Av), and what has motivated him to play a significant role in this initiative to deal with the tragic history of Christians and Jews, and to make a difference for good for the future.

Samuel emphasizes the theme of repentance, or “teshuva,” in what he shares. That’s the topic of the midrash by Barry Phillips and David Jones. Teshuva is also the subject of our musical presentations, delivered, appropriately, by the band, Teshuva.
